
I should really be used to this by now. The emptiness of the house, however, seems to be stirring up the loneliness not knowing what the heck to retirement. Everything seems to have changed at the same time, and that's no fun for anybody.

![]() His best friend lost his father and my son flew across the country to comfort him. He's only been here for five days, and he hasn't really "lived" here since he left for college twelve years ago. You would not, however, realize this if you saw his bedroom, trapped in 2011 forever with the same baseball pictures, textbooks and games strewn pretty much where they landed after graduation.
